Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on the 9th of July, 1956. He is an American actor, filmmaker, and director. Popular for his dramatic and comedic role, he is one of the most loved and recognizable film stars worldwide and is considered an American cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. His mother, initially referred to "Fraga", was an ethnically Portuguese family. His father was mainly English. Tom was born into what he describes as"a "fractured" family. He did not have any acting experience in college. This is the reason that helped him begin his acting career. He tried out for auditions in downtown Cleveland for a play in the community theater. Director offered him a trip to Cleveland and that's when his acting career started.
